Morocco’s Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports has announced the final results of the 2025 baccalaureate exams. The national pass rate for enrolled students stands at 66.8%, a slight dip compared to last year’s 67.86%.

Once again, girls outperformed boys, with a pass rate of 71.3% compared to 61.81% for male candidates.

A total of 250,075 students from public and private schools passed the exams, including 154,918 girls, marking a 1.5% increase in the number of successful female candidates compared to 2024.

Out of 374,371 enrolled candidates, 97.14% showed up to take the exams, a small decrease from 97.36% the previous year. Among independent candidates, 71,361 sat for the exams, with a pass rate of 36.95%, down from 39.56% in 2024.

Encouragingly, more than half of successful candidates—152,261 students—earned their diplomas with honors, accounting for 54.9% of all who passed.

Several specialized tracks also reported strong outcomes:

Moroccan International Baccalaureate: 68.95% success rate

Professional Baccalaureate: 76.15% success rate

Efforts to improve inclusivity also saw results: 69.66% of students with disabilities passed, thanks to adapted exams and grading accommodations.

All candidates began receiving their results on Saturday morning via SMS and their Taalim.ma email accounts. Digital diplomas will be available starting June 15.

Looking ahead, 153,612 candidates are scheduled to retake the exams during the resit session on July 3–5, with results set to be released on July 12, 2025.
